Minja Mijuskovic Nonet consists of a jazz quintet and a string quartet.
Imagine the fullness in sound when a quintet with two firm and unique saxophonists meets tenderness and beauty of strings. One thing this band will surely make you feel is heartbreaking truth. This music might make you homesick or nostalgic.
Nonet welcomes you to experience vision of Para-normal existence, which they will express through jazz- impressionistic pieces composed by Minja. Minja Mijuskovic Nonet is the winner of “Down Beat” Student Award 2026 for Small Jazz Ensemble/Combo. This concert is supported by Amarte Fonds and hosted by Oene van Geel.
The repertoire consists of original music and arrangements written by Minja Mijuskovic, in the fusion of jazz impressionism. You will hear Suite “Boya” and it’s whimsical story as well as the new pieces for their next record.
